Quote of the Week

“Keep true, never be ashamed of doing right; decide on what you think is right and stick to it.”  T.S. Eliot

This quote is such good food for thought. There are so many wonderful aspects of greatness that can be taken from this pearl of wisdom. Doing the right thing is often on most peoples minds. Making sure we all do what’s right so that we can feel we are living good or fulfilling lives is usually in the forefront of our minds. But, what is the right thing? Who should decide what is right and what is wrong? Should it be the government, our parents, our piers? If none of them, then who?

My opinion, is that we should. Each one of us, individually has a feeling about the things we do, from combing out hair to taking care of our children. We know when something feels right to us and when something doesn’t. I believe that sometimes we get our priorities mixed up and start placing others opinions or beliefs ahead of our own and this is when we feel the worst. No one can live our lives for us or create in our experiences. That is our job as individuals. We all know what feels right to us and when we stick to our guns, no matter how hard it may be, we always feel good about ourselves and what we stand for. Let’s work to never be ashamed of who we are and what believe. In the long one, it’s our own opinion of ourselves and our beliefs that matters most.

Quote of The Week

“A man is but the product of his thoughts what he thinks, he becomes.” Mahatma Gandhi

I don’t think anything sums it up better. Our thoughts create our reality. We can either live life created by default, not taking care to focus our thoughts on what we want, or we can consistently work to be deliberate in our desires and live the lives we intended to experience when we came into these physical bodies. Regardless, our lives and experiences ALWAYS reflect the thoughts we think. No exceptions. We hold the power in our lives, we just need to accept it and harness it.

Quote of The Week

“You've done it before and you can do it now. See the positive possibilities. Redirect the substantial energy of your frustration and turn it into positive, effective, unstoppable determination.”  Ralph Marston

I love this little reminder of our greatness. We have overcome so many obstacles and will overcome many more. Why we fear conflict in our lives is a mystery. Humans are natural survivors and we do what we have to in order to protect our loved ones and ourselves. We are much stronger than we give ourselves credit for and when we truly focus our energy, out of need or desire, the idea of failure isn’t even entertained. So maybe instead of waiting until our backs are against the wall and there doesn’t appear to a way out, what if we focused that energy now? What if we worked on our needs and wants today, instead of waiting until the last minute? We don’t have to let frustration or desperation be the catalyst for focused action on our lives. But when we are faced with an experience we find less than desirable, we can work not to let it weigh us down. Instead, we can take it by the preverbal horns and whip it into shape. Let the universe know that we’ve got this and work to guide the direction of our lives instead of letting it guide us. Every cloud has a silver lining, we just have to learn to look for it when the opportunity presents itself.

Quote of The Week

“Think like a queen. A queen is not afraid to fail. Failure is another steppingstone to greatness.” Oprah Winfrey

What a great outlook. No wonder the woman is so successful. Why are we all so afraid of failure? Who ever said that failing at something was the end of it all? To make an attempt at something new, to step out and try something different is an accomplishment in itself. If we “fail”, there is always the opportunity to try again. If you ask me, the only way to truly fail is to give up completely.

Quote of The Week

“The positive thinker sees the invisible, feels the intangible, and achieves the impossible.” Author Unknown

The few words in this quote hold so much power. We as spiritual beings can do anything we desire, as long as we believe in our abilities and ourselves. Being positive has such a major impact on our lives. To feel good is to be in touch with our inner being (soul, spirit, source, etc…) and that’s where our true power lies. To feel good is to be true to ourselves and acknowledge that we have the power to create the lives we desire. To feel good is to be in the positive, uplifting flow (alignment, agreement, etc…) of where our lives are headed and where we want to end up. Today and everyday I work to be in the flow of positivity.

Quote of The Week

“A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.” Winston Churchill

I found this quote recently and thought I’d share it. To stay in a positive mindset can really take a lot of work at times. I know when I’ve been faced with challenges I really had to work hard at inflection and mediation. I know and understand that my thoughts have to match where I want to be in life, but when emotions are heavily involved it can be difficult to keep our minds focused upon our goals.  The quote is really a reminder to me that no matter the situation (whether it feels good or bad) if I do the work I can always create a positive outcome that works for my life. My thoughts are mine to control. It is not so much the events in my life that matter but my reaction to them.

Welcome

From birth, we are all moving along on our own special spiritual paths. My purpose is not to “preach” but to share in learning with my piers. I thoroughly enjoy the give in take, when participating in an active dialogue, especially when the aim is to uplift each other in love and light. Though I am aware that I am a spiritual being, I am also experiencing life through the filter of my physical senses, in a physical body. There will be times when I trip and fall and need a little guidance, as do we all. It is my desire to share my experiences with others and have them share with me so that we can all grow in a positive direction.
